Korean star So Ji-sub and Korean-American actor and “Criminal Minds” star Daniel Henney have made generous donations to fund efforts against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in South Korea.

So Ji-sub and Henney donated 300 million won (about P12.8 million or $252,000) each, joining actor Lee Min Ho and K-pop princess IU in providing such amount to prevent the spread of the disease, which has infected 6,284 persons and killed 42 in South Korea.
Charity organization Good Neighbors confirmed that So Ji-sub donated the amount, which will be used to benefit medical staff and vulnerable people like children, elderly and low-income families.
Last year, So Ji-sub, whose memorable TV dramas include “Glass Slippers,” “Something Happened in Bali” and “Master’s Sun,” donated 50 million (P2.12 million) for the benefit of children affected by wildfires in Gangwon province.
