By JONATHAN HICAP The world came together to help the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name “Haiyan”) which devastated many parts of Leyte and Samar, killing 6,300 people, and causing P89.6 billion in damages. A Filipino-Korean, Jasmine Bacurnay-Lee, the first naturalized Korean to get a seat in the National Assembly, immediately worked to persuade South Korea’s National Assembly to pass a resolution to give assistance to the victims.
