MANILA, Philippines - K-pop girl group 2NE1 will hold their first world tour this year.
YG Entertainment said that the tour dubbed "New Evolution" will visit 10 cities in seven countries in Asia, the Americas and Europe and the number of cities is likely to rise due to numerous requests.

This will be the first time that a Korean girl group will embark on a world tour, the agency told Korean media.
2NE1 will kick off the concert tour on July 28 and 29 at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium.
In September and October last year, 2NE1 held their first Japan tour called "Nolza in Japan," which attracted 70,000 fans.
YG Entertainment will be working with entertainment company Live Nation in holding the world tour. Live Nation is currently in charge of ticketing for Big Bang's Alive Tour concert.
Last year, 2NE1 was named the Best New Band in the World by MTV Iggy.
In , YG Entertainment also announced that 2NE1's comeback through a new album has been pushed back to July.
Fans were looking forward to 2NE1's new album originally scheduled to be released this month.
On June 23, 2NE1 will be attending the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards Japan which will be held at the Makuhari Messe.
The group is nominated for Best New Artist along with LMFAO, James, Blake, CN Blue and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
