MANILA, Philippines – JYJ member Kim Jaejoong’s first mini-album has become a success, selling briskly and topping music charts in Korea, Japan and other countries.
Jaejoong released “I” last Jan. 17, which quickly rose to the top of Korean chart Hanteo.

The album topped Hanteo’s real-time, daily and weekly charts, selling more than 60,000 in a week.
On Tower Records Japan’s overall chart, “I” is the third bestselling album for the week Jan. 14 to 20.
On iTunes, “I” topped the Rock Albums chart in nine countries upon its release. The album became No. 1 in the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia.
“I” contains five tracks: “One Kiss,” “Mine,” “There’s Only You,” “My Only Comfort” and “Only You.”
“One Kiss” was released last Jan. 8 ahead of the album, which also topped the iTunes charts in nine countries.
The music video for the track “Mine” has also topped China’sYinyuetai channel, similar to YouTube, and has so far accumulated more than five million views.
On YouTube, the music video has raked in 1.37 million views.
Jaejoong, who is celebrating his birthday on Jan. 26, will be holding a mini-concert and fan meeting titled “Your, My & Mine” on Jan. 26 and 27.
On the other hand, boy band TVXQ has once again topped Japan’s Oricon chart with their new Japanese single “Catch Me-If You Wanna.”
The single was released last Jan. 16 and it topped Oricon’s daily and weekly charts. The single has so far sold 137,028 copies.
This is TVXQ’s 12th time to top Oricon’s weekly chart, another record for the group.
