MANILA, Philippines - Korean ballad group 2AM will be releasing their second studio Korean album today titled "One Spring Day."
This will be the group's follow up album to "Saint o'Clock" released on October 2010.
To kick off the promotion for the new album, 2AM held a showcase on March 4 at the Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul.
The event was streamed online for international fans of 2AM. During the showcase, 2AM performed songs in the album.
"One Spring Day" consists of nine tracks including "Spring," "Reading You," "One Spring Day," "Forgetting You" and "Coming To Me."
"We′re excited that it′s our first studio album in three years and our first comeback in one year. Many singers have debuted after we started taking breaks in Korea, and sometimes when I appear on variety shows I again realize so much time has passed," said Jo Kwon, 2AM's leader, according to ENewsWorld.
In March last year, 2AM released a mini-album called "F.Scott Fitzgerald's Way of Love." The title track of the album, "I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me," became No. 1 on Billboard K-pop Hot 100 chart.
Jo Kwon added that they will be actively promoting the album.
"Our goal is to get more people to understand our musical emotions. I hope we′ll be able to deliver good messages through our music. We′ll especially promote a lot like we used to in the past. We′ll be so active we′ll be like water from a faucet, so you can definitely look forward to that," he said.
For the new album, 2AM worked with pianist Yiruma.
In April 2011, 2AM visited the Philippines to promote their album "Saint o'Clock."
During their visit, 2AM said that they put their hearts in their music.
"We put our hearts in our music so even if they might not understand the lyrics of the song, they know the feelings. We want to give more music and put more efforts into it so that more fans will appreciate our music," the group told Bulletin Entertainment in an interview.
