It is her first time to visit the Philippines and said she was really touched when she saw fans at the airport upon her arrival in Manila last March 15.
"At the airport, I almost cried because many fans were there calling my name. Even on Twitter, many Filipino fans are sending messages to me but I wasn't able to reply to them. I feel sad but I'm very glad to meet all of them [at the fan meeting]," the 23-year-old award-winning actress said.
The trip to the Philippines was a respite for Park Shin Hye, who said she really loved the warm weather.
"It's cold in Korea right now so I really like the weather [in Manila]," she said.
Park Shin Hye is celebrating her tenth year in showbiz and the Asia Tour offered her the chance to meet her fans in the Philippines and other countries. The Manila fan meeting is organized by Behind The Scene and Fangirlasia.

It was in 2003 when Park Shin Hye made her acting debut in the hit Korean drama "Stairway to Heaven," where she took on the role of the younger version of the main character Han Jung-suh. Hallyu actress Choi Ji Woo played the adult version in the drama.
In a one-on-one interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Park Shin Hye said her roles in "Stairway to Heaven" and the 2009 romantic comedy "You're Beautiful" are very memorable to her.
"I really like 'Stairway To Heaven' because it was my drama debut. The second one where I found myself is in 'You're Beautiful,'" she said.
Her role in "Stairway to Heaven" won her the best child actress award in the 2003 SBS Drama Awards.
In the last ten years, Park Shin Hye has also starred in dramas such as "Tree of Heaven," "Goong S," "Kimcheed Radish Cubes," "Heartstrings" and the recently concluded "Flower Boy Next Door."
She is also a singer. Her songs are included in various original soundtracks of the dramas and films that Park Shin Hye has appeared in.
In fact, before she became an actress, she passed the audition and trained as a singer under Dream Factory, the agency of pop star Lee Seung-hwan.
Park Shin Hye said she thinks of the character and the story when she chooses her drama projects.
"I think of the scenario. The important thing I think of is the character, if it can show a new part, a new image."
In preparing for a drama role, she said she studies her lines and the character she portrays.
"I practice my lines to get my emotions flow well. I really prepare for the character [that I play] including the clothes, [working with] coordinators and hair and makeup," she added.
Her latest project, "Flower Boys Next Door," aired in Korea from January to February this year. She played the main character Go Dok-mi, a freelance copy editor who rarely went out of her apartment and was secretly in love with her neighbor.
The drama also starred actors Yoon Shi-yoon and Kim Ji-hoon.
Park Shin Hye said she enjoyed working with the main actors in all of her dramas.
"All of the partners that I met in dramas are good people. Kim Ji-hoon is like an old brother because of our age gap but he really took care of the younger cast. As for Yoon Shi-yoon, he had to take care of many things but still he showed his good mood in the drama," she said.
At the presscon, she revealed that she became close to Jang Geun-seuk, FT Island's Hongki and CNBLUE's Yonghwa, the main actors in "You're Beautiful."
"While I was making 'You're Beautiful,' I became close with all of the main actors. I also became close to Yonghwa in 'Heartstrings,'" she said.
When asked about her closeness with Yonghwa, she said, "Sometimes we contact each other but since we're both busy we can't meet."
Park Shin Hye has played many roles during her career. She said that in five years, she wants to try other roles.
"I want to play sad love story roles," she said.
While she also dabbles in singing, she said she prefers acting.
Since her debut in the industry, Park Shin Hye has won numerous awards including best new actress for "Kimcheed Radish Cubes" in the 2007 MBC Drama Awards, popular movie actress for "Cyrano Agency" in the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2011 and popular drama actress for "Heartstrings" in the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2012.
Like other celebrities, Park Shin Hye has had to deal with anti-fans and haters, whose only aim is to incessantly criticize her and her work. But she shrugs them off.
"For me, I don't really care about antifans because I'm very busy with my schedule and I want to learn a lot of things," she explained.
Despite her busy schedule, Park Shin Hye is currently pursuing her college education at Chung-Ang University where she is in her senior year under the drama and film program.
When not working, she attends her classes.
"When I don't have work, first of all, I go to school. If I have a break from school, I learn new exercises and other things," she said.
She said she's thrilled to meet her Filipino fans at the fan meeting.
"I'm really excited to see my fans face to face. I'm really the first actress to do an Asia tour. I'm really excited and I want to have a great time with them," she said.
After the Philippines, Park Shin Hye will hold her Asia Tour in Tokyo, Japan, on March 24 followed by China and three other countries.
