Madonna, Psy Heat Up New York Concert

MANILA, Philippines - Queen of Pop Madonna and the new King of K-pop Psy heat up New York City as the latter became a surprise guest at Madonna's MDNA tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City last Nov. 13.

Psy appeared on stage wearing a red suit and joined Madonna to perform a mashup of his hit song "Gangnam Style" and Madonna's "Give It To Me."

"Are you ready, NYC?" Psy shouted as he emerged on stage.

Madonna, Psy and the dancers performed the signature horse-riding dance of "Gangnam Style."

The Korean rapper also stayed for Madonna's performance of "Music."

Before the concert, Psy tweeted, "I think tonight I am going to go dance with a friend and make some history. you will see."

Psy flew to New York City from Frankfurt, Germany, where he performed at the MTV Europe Music Awards and won Best Video for "Gangnam Style."

The rapper, whose "Gangnam Style" has racked up 723 million views on YouTube to date, will be performing at the 40th anniversary of the American Music Awards (AMA) on Nov. 18 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

He is joining the A-list of performers at the AMAs. They are Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Wanted, Swizz Beatz featuring Chris Brown and Ludacris, Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Ke$ha, Linkin Park, Nicki Minaj, No Doubt, P!nk, Pitbull, Taylor Swift and Usher.

Psy is also scheduled to perform on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" for a Thanksgiving Day episode.
