G-Dragon, Rain, Hangeng win at QQ Music Awards

Asian pop star Rain, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and former Super Junior member Hangeng are among winners at the recently concluded QQ Music Awards, organized by China’s biggest music streaming site, QQ Music.
The awards ceremony, held at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Shenzhen, China, drew popular artists from across Asia including Jay Chou, JJ Lin and Jolin Tsai.

Rain bagged the Most Influential Overseas Artist.
“Thanks to you, I got an award at the awards ceremony. Thank you,” Rain posted on his Chinese microblogging site Weibo.
He also performed “La Song” and “30 Sexy” at the ceremony, which is aimed at recognizing the region’s most popular artists.
Rain held his album showcase “2014 Rain Effect Show in Beijing” last March 28 at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium. The singer is currently filming his first Chinese movie “Hong Yan Lu Shui.”
G-Dragon won the Most Popular Korean Artist award, garnering a total of 20.2 million votes. Other nominees were Jang Geun Suk, Girls’ Generation, EXO and Japanese girl group AKB48.
He was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to an earlier commitment.
Hangeng took home the Most Popular Mainland Male Singer.
Korean singer Lyn graced the ceremony and performed “My Destiny,” the official soundtrack of the hit Korean drama “You Who Came From the Stars,” which is topbilled by actor Kim Soo Hyun and actress Jun Ji-hyun. The drama was exported to China where it gained huge following.

Most Popular Male Hong Kong / Taiwan Singer – Jay Chou
Most Popular Male Hong Kong / Taiwan Singer – Join Tsai
Best Male Crossover Artist of the Year – Nicholas Tse

Most Popular American / European Singer – Bruno Mars
