Jackie Chan’s K-pop boy band debuts

By JONATHAN HICAP, Manila Bulletin
Film star Jackie Chan is now also managing artists, including a K-pop boy band known as JJCC, or Double JC.
The boy band just released their first single “At First,” making their debut performance on Korean TV music show “M Countdown.”

JJCC is composed of Koreans SimBa, E.co, San Cheong and Eddy, with Chinese-Australian Prince Mak.
“All five can rap, sing, write songs, and even excel in popping, jazz, b-boy, ballet, and other various dances. They can speak English, as well as Korean and Chinese. With very unique personalities, they form together the best synergy effect. Please anticipate these five jewels that will represent Asia, ” said The Jackie Chan Group Korea as quoted in a report on ENewsWorld.
Chan is a singer himself,  with several singles and albums under his belt including one of two official Olympics albums, “Official Album for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games – Jackie Chan’s Version.”
JJCC will be performing at Chan’s 60th birthday celebration on April 6 at the Beijing Worker’s Gymnasium.
The charity event, called “Love, Peace & Friendship Concert,” was arranged by Chan’s son, Jaycee, and many artists have been invited to perform, including Korean actress Kim Hee Sun, Korean actor Lee Byung Hun, K-pop boy band EXO and Super Junior’s Siwon.
Chan and Sun starred in the Hong Kong movie “The Myth” in 2005.
Siwon and Chan are friends. Last January, Siwon attended Chan’s movie premiere for “Police Story 2013.”
EXO met Chan at the 2013 Baidu Fei Dian Awards last December in Beijing, China.
