Ku Hye Sun, the popular female lead of “Boys Over Flowers,” and Big Bang’s Seungri will be working together on a new drama series dubbed “Angel Eyes,” which will start airing in April on Korean TV channel SBS.
This will be the 29-year-old Sun’s new drama in two years. She last starred in “Take Care of Us, Captain,” in 2012.

“I am excited about it. I will be trained properly as a paramedic for filming. I was told the whole filming process is close to real, so I am a bit nervous, but I will do my best,” said Sun, as quoted in a statement released by YG Entertainment.
“Angel Eyes” will reunite Sun with “Boys Over Flowers” writer Yoon Ji Ryun.
“I always wanted to work with Yoon again. I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Boys Over Flowers’ and had full trust in her talents. I am extremely happy that I can work with her again. I will do my best to produce a good work,” Sun said.
“Angel Eyes” is Seungri’s Korean drama debut. He will play the role of a Korean-American paramedic.
Last year, Seungri appeared in the Japanese drama “Kindaichi Case Files.”
Starring with Sun and Seungri on “Angel Eyes” is Lee Sang-yoon.
The cast had their first script reading recently.
