The KOREA Council
of Sports for All and the Korea Sports Promotion, together with the Korean Cultural Center
in the Philippines, donated 100 soccer balls and 100 shirts last February 21 in
the hopes of promoting Korea's major sports to the Filipinos. The formal
turnover of donations was held at the Korean Cultural Center in Taguig.
The beneficiaries of the said donation are the

The project is a brainchild of Emilio
'Chieffy' Caligdong of Azkals, the nation national team of the Philippines.
Caligdong is a native of Barotac and is now known as the football capital of
the Philippines. Apart from Caligdong, the province has also produced football
strongmen such as Ian Araneta and Roel Gener. since he came from Barotac Nuevo
Iloilo.
