Wonder Girls' Sunye, Husband Leave For Canada

By JONATHAN HICAP, Manila Bulletin
MANILA, Philippines - Wonder Girls' leader Sunye, who got married last Jan. 26 in Seoul, left for Montreal, Canada this morning together with her husband, James Park, to live there for the time being. Park's parents also live in Montreal.

Korean media were at Incheon International Airport to interview the couple. The two flew to Canada at 10 a.m. Korea time aboard a Korean Air flight. Sunye also brought her dog to Canada.
Before she left, Sunye spoke to the media."I want to thank all those who helped with my marriage. I don′t know when it will be, but if I do return I′ll make sure I′ve become a better person," said Sunye, according to ENewsWorld. There's no definite plans yet if Sunye would be coming back to Korea in May.
Sunye, 23, and James, 28, tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony held at the Lotte Hotel Seoul with hundreds of guests in attendance. They included Girls' Generation, 2AM, and former Wonder Girls members Hyuna and Sunmi. After the wedding, the newly-wed couple flew to the Maldives for their honeymoon and came back to Korea last Feb. 2.

Sunye's last performance with the Wonder Girls was at the 2013 Pyeongchang Special Olympics last Feb. 5. Despite that she got married, Sunye said she will not be resigning as member of the Wonder Girls and will continue to be a part of the group.
In her absence, other members of the Wonder Girls will be focusing on their individual activities. Yenny was cast last month as Constance in the musical "Three Musketeers," which will start its run in Korea on Feb. 20.
The musical includes 2PM's Jun.K, Super Junior's Kyuhyun and 2AM's Changmin. On the other hand, Yubin will be starring in the drama "The Virus," which is scheduled to air in March.
Sunye met her husband during a missionary work in Haiti in May 2011. Last September, a women's magazine in Korea reported that Sunye and James were planning to get married the next month but Sunye denied this. Her wedding plans were revealed in November.
