Korea's Top 20 Favorite TV Shows

MANILA, Philippines - Entertainment program "Infinite Challenge" is the No. 1 favorite TV program in South Korea, according to the latest survey conducted by Gallup Korea.
Gallup Korea surveyed 1,511 respondents aged at least 19 years old from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1 and asked them about their favorite Korean TV programs.
Infinite Challenge (MBC)

"Infinite Challenge," aired on MBC, got 12.3 percent to place No. 1, followed by drama series "My Daughter Seo Young" of KBS2 with 10.6 percent, KBS2's variety program "1 Night 2 Days" with 9.2 percent, drama "Horse Doctor" of MBC with 7.4 percent and SBS' variety show "Running Man" with 6.6 percent.
The 6th to 10th places are comedy show "Gag Concert" (KBS2), 5.7 percent; drama "Cheer Up, Mr. Kim" (KBS1), 3.8 percent; drama "School 2013" (KBS2), 2.7 percent; drama "Queen of Ambition" (SBS), 2.5 percent; and drama "Childless Comfort" (JTBC), 2.4 percent.
"Healing Camp" (SBS) placed 11th with 2.3 percent followed by "The Law of the Jungle" (SBS), 2 percent; drama "Oh Ja-ryeong is Coming" (MBC), 1.7 percent; talk show "Morning Forum" (KBS1), drama "Hello, God" (KBS2) and "Survival Audition K-pop Star" (SBS), 1.6 percent; drama "It Was Love" (MBC), 1.5 percent; drama "Cheongdam-dong Alice" (SBS), 1.3 percent; drama "Jeon Woo Chi" (KBS2), 1.3 percent; and drama "TV Novel Sam-seng" (KBS2), 1.3 percent.
Among the Top 20 programs, 11 are dramas.
Of the 1,511 respondents, 748 were male and 763 were female.
According to Gallup Korea, "Infinite Challenge" was most popular among the 19-29 age group, getting 43 percent, and respondents in their 30s (15 percent).
Based on occupation, "Infinite Challenge" was most popular among students (48 percent) followed by "Running Man" (15 percent), "1 Night 2 Days" (5 percent), "Horse Doctor" (4 percent), "Gag Concert" (2 percent) and "My Daughter Seo Young" (1 percent).
Among housewives, the drama series "My Daughter Seo Young" is No. 1 with 19 percent, followed by "1 Night 2 Days" (16 percent), "Horse Doctor" and "Running Man" (6 percent), "Infinite Challenge" (5 percent) and "Gag Concert" (4 percent).
