Along
with the immense popularity of Hallyu in the Philippines, Korean food has been
gaining more and more momentum in the local food scene, with numerous Korean
restaurants mushrooming virtually everywhere.
In celebration of Korea’s
gastronomic delight, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, in
cooperation with aT, Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation and Assi
Philippines will be holding a Korean Food Festival on May 8 to 12 in select Landmark
supermarkets. The food festival will open on May 8, 3pm at the Landmark,
Trinoma Supermarket and will also have its run at the supermarket of Landmark
Makati.
The Korean food festival will be
promoting the excellence of Korean food and culture through the variety of
programs lined up for the event. The parts of the festival consists of the
introduction to Korean food, free taste for food and drinks such as bulgogi,
japchae and Korean rice wine, a cooking demonstration by a Korean chef, Korean
traditional games such as tuho and a
samulnori performance.
The products included for the
festival are sourced from Nongshim, Binggrae, CJ, Daesang and Ottogi among many
others.
