Korea's 'Rooftop Prince,' EXO, SHINee, SNSD top Google searches in the Philippines

The Korean drama "Rooftop Prince" became the most searched TV show in the Philippines for the first half of 2013, according to Google Philippines, which released its Google Zeitgeist list for January to June 2013. It is a list that showed what Filipinos searched online on Google.

The list covered the overall top searches, news, events, Pinoy personalities, foreign personalities, athletes, musicians, gadgets, movies, TV shows, local destinations, restaurants and lyrics.

Two Korean dramas topped the 10 most searched TV shows in the Philippines: "Rooftop Prince" landed at No. 1 followed by "Glory Jane" at No. 2.

"Rooftop Prince" aired in the Philippines on ABS-CBN from January to April this year and topped the TV ratings. The drama starred singer and actor Park Yoochun of boy band JYJ and actress Han Ji-min.

"Glory Jane," topbilled by actress Park Min-young and actors Chun Jung-myung and Lee Jang-woo, aired in the country from February to July this year.

The Taiwanese drama "Absolute Boyfriend" is at No. 5.

In the category of most searched musicians, three K-pop groups made the list. Boy bands EXO and SHINee are at No. 6 and No. 9, respectively, and Girls' Generation is at No. 10.

Fall Out Boy is No. 1 on the list followed by Pink, Pierce the Veil, Bamboo Manalac, Alicia Keys, David Guetta and Charice Pempengco.

A "Kim So Hyun" also made the list in the top 10 most searched foreign personalities in the country. It was not clear if the name refers to actor Kim Soo Hyun, who starred in the "Moon Embracing the Sun" or young actress Kim So Hyun.
