Jasmine Lee: A Filipino in South Korea’s Assembly

By JONATHAN HICAP  The world came together to help the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name “Haiyan”) which devastated many parts of Leyte and Samar, killing 6,300 people, and causing P89.6 billion in damages. A Filipino-Korean, Jasmine Bacurnay-Lee, the first naturalized Korean to get a seat in the National Assembly, immediately worked to persuade South Korea’s National Assembly to pass a resolution to give assistance to the victims. BoA's debut Hollywood movie bombs at the box office

K-pop star BoA's debut Hollywood movie "Make Your Move" failed at the box office in the US and South Korea. The dance movie, headlined by BoA and Derek Hough, earned a measly $120,200 in 10 days in the US since its release last April 18, according to Box Office Mojo.
