Jay Park’s Manila album showcase set on May 4-6

MANILA, Philippines – K-pop rapper and b-boy Jay Park’s mall tour in Manila will be held on May 4 to 6 in different venues.

Jay Park will be in the country to promote his new album “New Breed,” which contains 15 tracks including the carrier single, “Know Your Name.”

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls is presenting the “Jay Park Live” album showcase in Manila, according to a post on MCA Music Facebook page.

His showcase will be held on the following dates: May 4 at 7PM, Eastwood Mall Open Park; May 5 at 7PM, Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio; and May 6 at 4PM at Lucky Chinatown Mall Atrium.

Fans only need to buy the “New Breed” album to get seats in the venues, according to the label.

This will be his third visit to the Philippines and, this time, he will spend six days in the country.

Bulletin Entertainment has learned that Jay Park will arrive in the Philippines on May 3 and will leave on May 8.

“Singapore Philippines Malaysia Indonesia Washington DC Los Angeles New York San Diego or San Fran (1 of the 2 lol) lets party,” Jay tweeted last April 9 about his upcoming shows.

Jay Park visited Manila in 2010 for his fan meet and in 2011 for the MTV EXIT concert.

“New Breed” was released in February and it quickly rose to the top of the iTunes charts. The album became No. 1 on the iTunes R&B/Soul Albums charts in the US, Canada and Australia, No. 2 in Japan and No. 5 in France.  It grabbed the 27th spot on the iTunes Top 100 Albums chart.

It also charted on Billboard, debuting at No. 4 on the World Albums chart and No. 16 on the Heatseekers Album chart. It also topped Gaon Chart, Korea’s version of the Billboard chart.

Jay Park recently appeared on the new MBC reality TV show “Music and Lyrics” where he was paired with actress and singer Lee Si Young.

Before coming to the Philippines, Jay Park will be in Singapore to promote the album and attend the Star Awards on April 29.

From Manila, Jay Park will tour Indonesia and Malaysia.

He will fly to the US for the APAHM (Asian Pacific American Heritage Month 2012) Tour, which will be held in May in Washington D.C., New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
