A former member of a popular 1990s Korean boy band and a member of K-pop group Girl's Day have been revealed to be in a relationship.

Tony An (36), former member of H.O.T. and founder of TN Entertainment, and Hyeri (20), have been seeing each other since March.

The agencies of the two stars have come forward and admitted that the two are in a relationship after news site Sports Seoul published a story and pictures of the two together after following the two for two months.

According to the story, Tony An and Hyeri would meet at night. He would pick her up and the two would spend a couple of hours together, at some point even dating at a coffee shop in Seoul.

After the date, Tony An dropped off Hyeri near her dormitory.

"It is true that the two met with affection, but we don't know much about the details," a representative of TN Entertainment said, according to ENewsWorld.

He added, "They've just started off, so we hope you look on kindly."

In a statement on Twitter, Dream Tea Entertainment, Girl's Day agency, said it never knew that Tony An and Hyeri were dating.

"First of all, we are sorry to the fans that we, the agency, weren’t already aware of the two meeting one another," said Dream Tea, according to Allkpop.
"After confirming with Hyeri, we have learned that the two previously were of sunbae-hoobae relationship, but in March, during the early stage of Girl’s Day’s full-length album comeback, (Hyeri) was contacted about seeing each other, and (she was) attracted to his (Tony An) gentle nature and kind manners, they met a couple of times and talked with one another," the agency added.
Dream Tea said Hyeri is having a hard time because of the revelation of her relationship with Tony An.
"From what we know, they’ve exchanged advices and consolations about their daily lives and the entertainment industry. Hyeri is currently having a hard time due to all the attention upon the two," it added.
H.O.T. was one of the most popular boy bands in South Korea in the 1990s. The group debuted in 1996 under SM Entertainment.

Tony An’s boy band disbanded in 2001, after which he and band mates Jang Woo-hyuk and Lee Jae-won regrouped to form JTL under another company. After JTL, Tony An formed TN Entertainment.

Girl's Day debuted in 2010 and its members are Hyeri, Sojin, Yura and Minah. The group released their first studio album "Expectation" last March.
